Villa holidays – allow you to make a deposit in the memory bank of your children's minds

There can be nothing more rewarding than having your children around you during the holiday season. Whether you are decking the halls with boughs of holly during the winter months, hopping along the Easter bunny trail in spring or building sandcastles on the beach in summer, just enjoying your children’s company and being a part of their fun and games can help fill out the photo album with memories that last a lifetime.

Renting out a villa in the Algarve is a wonderful way to enjoy some quality family time but if you are sharing with relatives or friends, it could ruin their holiday if you expect them to babysit for you every night.

Villas in the Algarve and in many other parts of the world often come with the added option of childcare which means that you can still enjoy oodles of time with the kids but can hand over the responsibility for putting ‘fun’ into their holiday when you want to sit down for a much needed quiet glass of wine, or when you want to get up in the morning put on some running accessories and go for a run.

A villa holiday is the perfect way to keep the family together, especially if you have more than two children. Although, camping can be exciting, this sort of holiday is better suited for older children and could prove to be more stressful than relaxing if you have toddlers or a baby. Hotels, are an option but rarely cater for families which are larger than four. Few parents would want to let their eldest child have a room of their own so the only option is to divide the family in two by having hubby share a room with your sons, whilst you occupy a room with your daughters. This defeats the object of spending quality time together and is where holiday villas offer the ideal solution to keep the family unit as a unit.

Whether you have a broodful of fussy eaters or a roomful of boisterous toddlers, a villa holiday helps to keep your children’s daily routine on track plus you are able to keep a close eye on their diet. Hotels and restaurants often provide children’s menus which are loaded with chips. Alternatively, speciality dishes may be difficult for young tummies to digest. With a villa holiday your children can enjoy the meals you know are healthy and that they will enjoy.

A villa holiday provides a home from home environment where families can unwind without winding up the neighbours.
