Beach Babe’In in Wales!

Wales has unfortunately not got a reputation as being a beach hangout destination of choice, rather it known mainly for its rainfall and its sheep! However, don’t be fooled by these stereotypical features because Wales is actually home to some truly fabulous coastline and surfing spots that rank amongst the best in the United Kingdom. Furthermore the quaint villages and towns that lay around these surf spots making visiting even more enticing!

For those beach babes who are looking for get involved in the Welsh surf you are best off heading down to the West Wales coastline, you may even consider hiring a campervan and driving rough the way around the coast! The area does get busy with locals and visitors alike when the surf is good, but if you are prepared to walk along the coastline you will find more secluded spots.

Llangennith on the Gower in West Wales is probably the most popular surf spot in Wales, harbouring beach breaks right across it’s three mile stretch. The town of Llangenith is super quaint with lots of small shops and cafes. Why not take some time to sample the local cakes and icecream after a long day at the beach or browse the shops and get yourself some of the gorgeous turquoise and silver jewellery you often see in this area.

For the more advanced surfer the best spots to hit in Wales are Freshwater West and Whitesands, both situated along the Pembrokeshire Coast and The Severn Bore (River Severn).
